Everything You Need to Know About LEGO Minifigures 71047 Dungeons & Dragons Series | September 2024

It's been rumoured for a long time now but we can confirm the existence of the third and final LEGO Minifigures series of 2024 of 71047 Dungeons & Dragons Series. Rumours have been out about the licensed series for many, many months but recent leaks have confirmed the series' existence with an official reveal expected in just a weeks time.

Just like the other two Minifigures series of 2024 of 71045 Series 25 and 71046 Series 26 Space, 71047 Dungeons & Dragons Series includes 12 brand new collectible Minifigures exclusive to this licensed CMF. The collectable series based on the fantasy tabletop role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons, will be released on the 1st of September for $4.99 / €3.99 / £3.49 in the now normal cardboard packaging

The game, which is owned by Hasbro, celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2024 and is set to partner with LEGO to celebrate this occasion. But not just once as we previously thought with the LEGO Ideas model of 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale, but twice with the CMF series of 71047 Dungeons & Dragons Series. The LEGO Ideas 18+ set releases a few months ago on the 1st of April 2024 and will still be readily available when this D&D Minifigure series also hits shelves.

In the 12 exclusive characters, there are a couple of D&D monsters, non-playable named characters and generic classes and races, from a dwarf and sorcerer to The Lady of Pain and Tasha the Witch Queen. The series has it all once it releases on the 1st of September 2024 for the usual CMF series price of $4.99 / €3.99 / £3.49.

List of Minifigures

Dwarf Barbarian - A female version of the barbarian which also includes a bearded alternative facial expression to create a male version of the character. The figure also includes a new moulded axe piece and a simple torch build.

Githyanki Warlock - Similar to the Barbarian, this figure has two facial expressions to create both a male and female version. A new black hair piece is included which has moulded ears and the character also includes a cool printed eye staff and a new mould for a knife.

Tiefling Sorcerer - The main selling point of this Minifigure is the moulded red baby dragon. Another alternative facial expression is included along with a new moulded hair piece with horns and some translucent pink claws.

Dragonborn Paladin - With this figure the LEGO VIDIYO dragon head returns in a tan colour with obviously different printing. The Dragonborn Paladin also includes a printed shield, a mace with a new translucent-like element and a new armour piece to go over the figure's torso.

Halfing Druid - A mini-legged Minifigure which comes with a camouflaged coloured torso, legs and cape. This is another figure to include two facial expressions along with a printed small bird, a staff and a new mould an antlered hood

Mindflayer - Comes with the intellect devourer along with a new mould for its head and the devourer. Its torso and robes are black with the head and its hands being a little purple colour.

Strahd Von Zarovich - Another interesting and extremely detailed figure which comes with a large sword, a translucent wine glass, a black rat and a cape.

Halfling Bard - Our last Minfigure to have alternative facial expressions is the Halfling Bard which comes with a pink scarf, a printed lute, a golden sword and a new white hair mould with ears.

The Lady of Pain - Quite an extravagant Minifigure as she stands on a printed cube. The figure also has a fancy cape, plenty of printed details and a new moulded hairpiece.

Szass Tam - A very powerful lich that comes with a translucent red skull, an orange energy blast and a dark red coloured cape. Similar yet also very different to our previous Minifigure.

Tasha the Witch Queen - Our final Minifigure of the series comes with a printed book, a cauldron with purple fire and the witch hair and hat combo which first made its appearance in 2023s LEGO Ideas Hocus Pocus set.

The Packaging & Checklist

The third and only licensed Minifigure series of 2024 unsurprisingly gives off a scary, fantasy yet fun vibe. Both the packaging and checklists are entirely black with outlines of D&D accessories in a dark grey. The Dungeons & Dragons logo is in the centre of the cardboard box whilst the checklist also contains the alternative facial expressions for those five Minifigures.
