Our fourth and final LEGO Shops of the World Gift With Purchase has been officially revealed to add to October's ever-growing lineup of GWPs. This brand new promotional item is 40696 Bakery which includes 376 pieces to recreate a microscale Bakery shop. The 12+ model will be available in just a few day's time on the 15th of October 2024 and will most likely last around a week even though this is currently unconfirmed.
Just like the previous three LEGO Shops of the World of 40680, 40684 and 40692, 40696 Bakery will be available with any purchases over $200. The October Gift With Purchase contains 376 pieces to create a microscale shop which expands across two floors. Being microscale, no Minifigures are included and neither are any extra stickers to allow further customization as seen in previous GWPs from this mini-series.
The exterior of the Bakery feels very stereotypical of this type of store, with a tan colour scheme complete with a couple of masonry bricks. Some red and green hangovers are also included, along with a sign above and next to the shop's door. A croissant also sits just above the door to further signify that it's a bakery, along with several festive decorations of those red and green hangovers, hints of snow, and a wreath.
Inside, the Bakery is spread across two floors with interesting and tasty treats available for our microscale customers. The clear counter shows plenty of savoury and sweet treats with some large cupcakes and further areas of display are also included on the bottom floor. Meanwhile, on the second floor, there's a seating area complete with comfy sofas and abstract art on the wall.
