Following on from the official reveal of 10347 Petite Sunny Bouquet just a week ago, two more LEGO Botanicals sets are expected to be released on the 1st of June 2025 to add to our ever-expanding range of LEGO flowers and plants. These two Botanicals branded models are 10348 Japanese Red Maple Bonsai Tree and 10349 Happy Plants with the former of the two being the focus of today's article.
Given the success and popularity of the still available 10281 Bonsai Tree, it's no surprise that LEGO are releasing another bonsai-based set, scheduled for a 1st of June 2025 release. The latest 18+ model for the theme includes a total of 474 pieces retailing for $59.99 / €59.99 / £49.99.
10348 Japanese Red Maple Bonsai Tree will be another visually striking addition to the Botanical Collection, featuring the vibrant colours of a Japanese maple in autumn. In particular, we can expect a standout feature of the 18+ model to be its deep red and orange foliage and its realistic, organic bonsai tree shape. Similar to 10281, interchangeable foliage may be included such as different shades of red or a springtime green variant.
The brick-built tree will likely be set in a traditional bonsai-style pot, similar to the previous LEGO bonsai model but hopefully typing in some Japanese culture and prints. To further add to the realism of the display set, LEGO will likely include a layer of small round tiles or studs as soil inside of the bonsai pot. Perhaps we'll see some of those hidden easter egg frog elements return from the original bonsai...
