After the release of the main LEGO Chinese New Year sets for 2023, another one has now been revealed of 40648 Money Tree. The set comes under the LEGO Creator theme but is also similar to a much less complicated LEGO Icons Botanical Collection set. 40648 is also much cheaper than any LEGO Botanical Collection set and is the cheapest Chinese New Year set for 2023 as it retails for $24.99.
The build itself is similar to any brick-built tree but with riches and rewards covering its branches and leaves. These include 20 tangerines, 14 red envelopes and 10 coins. It's also believed in Chinese culture that a money tree brings abundance, prosperity and good luck. This is definitely shown in the 336 pieces set and it even includes a classic Chinese New Year red pot for the tree to sit in.
