Autumn is well and truly here and that means Halloween and you can't have the spookiest time of the year without LEGO. Similar to last year, LEGO will be releasing an exclusive Halloween-themed Gift With Purchase licensed under the LEGO Creator. Last year it was 40562 Mystic Witch but this year LEGO have gone a different route with a spooky pirate-themed set of 40597 Scary Pirate Island.
40597 Scary Pirate Island is only licensed as a LEGO Creator set so only includes the one build that uses all of the 214 pieces included. The main build is a mini pirate island with a small shark-like cave and what looks to be the shipwreck of a red and black ship. A tiny raft is then included with a singular pirate Minifigure who is looking to find the hidden treasure stored away in the light grey cave.
As can be seen from the leaked picture, there are also many bits of jewellery, gems and other less common pieces making this GWP a fairly desirable set in our opinion. Either way, 40597 will be available from 10th October 2023 and last until the 22nd October 2023. The threshold for the GWP is reportedly $100 on any LEGO sets and it will run alongside last year's promotional set of 40562 Mystic Witch.
