With less than a month to go until the start of October, anticipation is building for the release of the first-ever physical LEGO Fortnite sets. The collaboration between Epic Games and LEGO has been in places for a substantial amount of time now but in a couple of weeks time four brand new LEGO Fortnite sets will be hitting shelves followed by more models based on the popular Battle Royale game in 2025.
But the LEGO Fortnite theme isn't done just yet as Instagram user Fateful reports that the gaming theme will also see the release of a LEGO BrickHeadz model on the 1st of October 2024. In particular, this is 40728 Brite Bomber which comes with 151 pieces retailing for the usual price of $9.99 / €9.99 / £9.99. 40664 and 40665 were also rumoured to be LEGO Fortnite BrickHeadz sets but have sadly since been cancelled.
As the name suggests, 40728 is a brick-built version of Brite Bomber - the pink-haired avatar who has long been the face of Fortnite and in that regard LEGO Fortnite too. Brite Bomber has already appeared as a LEGO Minifigure in the upcoming 77073 Battle Bus. She will likely appear in the same format in 40728 but as a much larger brick-built figure, possibly with a pickaxe accessory on the usual small black BrickHeadz stand.
