On the 1st of January 2025, only two sets released from the LEGO Jurassic World theme of 76967 Little Eatie: T. rex and 76969 Dinosaur Fossils: Triceratops Skull. However, with a brand new film of Jurassic World Rebirth coming to cinema in July, we expect plenty of brand new locations, brick-built dinosaurs and detailed Minifigures in the themes summer wave. And new rumours suggest that on the 1st of March 2025, the theme will also be getting a brand new D2C.
This D2C in particular is 76968 T.rex Skeleton which includes a total of 3,145 pieces retailing for $249.99 / €249.99 / £219.99. Reports suggest that the 18+ model will be very similar to LEGO Ideas 21320 Dinosaur Fossils. It will likely be designed as a museum-style display model featuring lifelike skeletal details and a buildable display stand with the usual 18+ printed information plaque.
As the set is a part of the LEGO Jurassic World theme, 76968 will likely have many subtle nods to the blockbuster franchise and may even be based on the mighty T.rexes that appear throughout the different films. While the main focus will undoubtedly be on the brick-built skeleton itself, franchise-specific Easter eggs, unique branding elements and possibly bonus Jurassic World side builds and Minifigures may also be included.
