LEGO Minecraft 21265 The Crafting Table Officially Revealed | August 2024

Today is the 1st of June 2024, marking the release of many brand new LEGO sets including six from the gaming world of the LEGO Minecraft theme. But the licensed theme is also seeing the reveal of a brand new set today as LEGO have officially presented the theme's first-ever D2C. The 18+ set of 21265 The Crafting Table will retail for $89.99 with a total of 1,195 pieces once it launches in two months time on the 1st of August 2024.

As the name suggests, the 18+ model is a large brick-built version of the in-game block of the Crafting Table which is used to make various objects, tools, etc. on it. Two sides of the Crafting Table block are open allowing access to a colourful brick-built LEGO Minecraft microworld inside. The scale of the microworld is even smaller than the original LEGO Minecraft sets from 2013 and 2014 with the whole set having a floor plan of 15 x 15 cm.

From the detailed and accurate exterior to the wonderful microworld inside, the 18+ LEGO Minecraft set is covered with plenty of in-game references. The microworld includes five microscale modules based on existing biomes that can be detached and rearranged. The locations/biomes are the Taiga with a dripstone cave, Plains with a village, Ice Spikes with an igloo, Cherry Grove with an abandoned mineshaft and the Deep Dark with a lush cave.

The microworld isn't complete though without microfigures with eight of them being included in 21265. These are Steve, Alex, a Skeleton, a Witch, a Creeper, a villager, a cow and a pig. The 18+ model also includes some stickers featuring phrases from the 15-year-old game that can be added to the front of 21265 The Crafting Table. Here you can also display the eight different microfigures allowing plenty of options for both play and dislay.
