LEGO Minecraft Rumoured January 2025 Sets | Nether Portal, Village, Baby Pig House, Mushroom House + More

2024 was an extremely busy year for the LEGO Minecraft theme as not only did the Danes celebrate 15 years of the videogame, but also 10 years of the brick-built LEGO Minecraft theme. This meant we got our first LEGO Minecraft D2C of 21265 The Crafting Table followed by an exclusive celebratory set of 21281 Baby Pig's Birthday Celebration which releases in less than a months time on the 1st of October 2024.

But attention now turns to 2025 as, according to Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat, a total of five brand new sets will be releasing for the theme on the 1st of January 2025. These five models will then be reportedly followed by another 11 sets for the year which will likely be spread across March, June or even August. The January 2025 releases cover the set numbers 21266 to 21270 and all retail for a price below $40.

21266 Nether Portal Battle

Our first set of the wave is the smallest of 21266 Nether Portal Battle which includes 99 pieces for $9.99. Unsurprisingly, we expect a small battle between either Steve or Alex and a mob from inside the Nether such as a Piglin. This will be set in the background of the Nether which will most likely also include the Nether Portal itself in either a fully functioning form or somewhat broken form and therefore needs to be repaired within the set itself.

Set Name - Nether Portal Battle

Set Number - 21266

Age Range - 6+

Piece Count - 99

Price - $9.99 / €9.99 / £TBC

Release Date - 1st January 2025

21267 The Village Visit

21267 The Village Visit retails for $14.99 with only 105 pieces suggesting a battle pack like LEGO Minecraft set. The name suggests it will be village-based so we could see a range of Villages included from Blacksmiths to Farmers. As 21267 only includes 105 pieces, we don't expect a large build or backdrop and only a section of a villager's house may be included along with a cat for example.

Set Name - The Village Visit

Set Number - 21267

Age Range - 7+

Piece Count - 105

Price - $14.99 / €14.99 / £TBC

Release Date - 1st January 2025

21268 Baby Pig House

Mobs as brick-built houses have always been a tradition in the LEGO Minecraft theme and in January we'll see a Baby Pig as a brick-built blocky house. 21268 Baby Pig House will likely be a smaller version of the now-retired 21170 The Pig House but of course, based on a baby pig rather than an adult pig. A baby pig will obviously be included in the $20 set along with a new skin.

Set Name - Baby Pig House

Set Number - 21268

Age Range - 7+

Piece Count - 238

Price - $19.99 / €19.99 / £TBC

Release Date - 1st January 2025

21269 Mine Adventure

Another stereotypical LEGO Minecraft set is 21269 Mine Adventure which takes place in the lover depths of your Minecraft world. The 8+ model retails for $29.99 with 247 pieces capturing the dark and scary mining adventure which every player experiences in the videogame. The LEGO set will most likely include a new skin, a couple of mobs, plenty of mining equipment and a beautiful brick-built display of Minecraft's expanded cave system.

Set Name - Mine Adventure

Set Number - 21269

Age Range - 8+

Piece Count - 247

Price - $29.99 / €29.99 / £TBC

Release Date - 1st January 2025

21270 Mushroom House

Last but not least we have the biggest set of the wave which only retails for $39.99 of 21270 Mushroom House. The January 2025 model has the best piece count of the five with exactly 500 pieces included. The set will likely be a larger version of 21179 The Mushroom House, including more elements of the Swamp update which weren't fully implemented when 21179 was released in 2022.

Set Name - Mushroom House

Set Number - 21270

Age Range - 8+

Piece Count - 500

Price - $39.99 / €39.99 / £TBC

Release Date - 1st January 2025
