As of June this year, the LEGO NINJAGO theme went into its next reboot, Dragon's Rising and we've received a whole wave of sets based on the new series. And the next two waves of sets, January 2024 and March 2024, will continue following our new protagonists of the series Arin and Sora.
Unsurprisingly, the January 2024 wave for the LEGO NINJAGO theme consists of another few 'gimmick' sets, the dragon gliders. The Ninja's Kai, Nya and Arin each get one of these under the set numbers 71801, 71802 and 71803. Each kite glider consists of 24 to 27 pieces and retails for a high price of $10.99.
Further January 2024 sets consist of many small mechs each controlled by a Ninja. There's 71804 Arin's Battle Mech, 71805 Jay's Battle Mech, 71806 Cole's Earth Mech, 71807 Sora's Tech Mech and 71808 Kai's Fire Mech. The last one of those, 71808 is the largest and most expensive of all the small mech sets with 322 pieces retailing for $29.99.
But the biggest set releasing on 1st January 2024 is 71809 Egalt The Master Dragon which consists of 532 pieces retailing for $69.99. Once again that price is very high but this should be a much more substantial build compared to the dragon gliders and small mechs.
Fortunately, a slightly more varied range of sets will be releasing on 1st March 2024. The month starts with 71810 Riyu The Baby Dragon which for $14.99 may include the very rare and valuable San Diego Comic Con exclusive Riyu figure. 71811 Arin's Ninja Off-Road Buggy will also release in march but for a much higher price of $49.99 with only 267 pieces. Finally, March 2024 finishes with a humongous set of 71819 Dragonstone Temple.
