Last month LEGO announced a multi-year partnership with Formula 1 with next year being the year of brick-built F1 racing. We'll be seeing Formula 1-themed sets across a range of themes from LEGO Icons and Technic to Duplo and City. And now unsurprisingly we have confirmation that the LEGO Speed Champions theme will also be joining in with the F1 action when it has its first wave launch on the 1st of March 2025.
This year we've already seen a surge in F1-themed sets with the LEGO Speed Champions theme in particular releasing 76919 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car and 76925 Aston Martin Safety Car & AMR23. Both of those teams will be returning in LEGO form as all 10 of the Formula 1 teams will see their 2024 cars translated into separate LEGO Speed Champions sets.
Each of the 10 teams will be in the usual eight-stud-wide form retailing for $26.99 / €26.99 / £20.99. The sets, which range between the set numbers 77242 and 77251, include around 250-260 pieces suggesting very similar builds apart from a few obvious differences such as the front wing and sidepod. As usual, each 10+ model will include a singular Minifigure, sadly not based on any of the official F1 drivers.
