With the recent release of this year's LEGO Super Mario D2C of 71411 The Mighty Bowser, rumours have already emerged about next year's sets. In particular, thanks to various retailer sites and Stonewars.de seven sets are rumoured to be releasing on 1st January 2023. A summer wave will then later follow most likely in August along with another D2C in August - October 2023.
There's almost no doubt that these sets will continue with the course expansion sets involving the Mario, Luigi and Peach Digfigs. Like this year's winter wave, there's the possibility that a sub-theme may be included in this wave like either Mario Sunshine or Mario Kart.
However, with the Mario Movie also coming in April 2023, there is a possibility of sets based on the movie coming between March 2023 to Summer 2023. We'll just have to wait and see but usually LEGO are hush hush on its Super Mario wave of sets...
