The LEGO Super Mario theme is set to continue for the fifth year running but the big question is whether or not Minifigures are finally coming. Currently, five sets are rumoured to be releasing on 1st January 2024 for the LEGO Super Mario theme. These range between the prices of $10.99 and $44.99 suggesting a much cheaper wave than previous years where at least one set has been around $80-$100.
But the most interesting thing about the five rumoured sets is the pretty favourable price-per-piece ratio. Due to the bigger pieces and technology involved with each set, the LEGO Super Mario line has been one of a number of LEGO themes to be fairly pricey especially given the number of pieces in each set.
But the likes of 71431 retails for $29.99 with 458 pieces and 71432 retails for $44.99 with exactly 500 pieces. These are much better than previously priced sets such as 71415 Ice Mario Suit and Frozen World which for $24.99 included just 105 pieces. So does this mean that LEGO Super Mario Minifigures are finally coming in 2024? We don't know yet but it'll be interesting to see where LEGO continues to take the videogame-inspired theme.
