The LEGO and Formula 1 reveals just keep on coming, this time from the LEGO Technic brand. The high-tech theme aimed at older children and adults has already had one Formula 1 based set released back in 2022. In particular, the LEGO Technic F1 based set was 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car which featured 2021's livery but with the brand new car model for the 2022 season.
But in 2024 we'll be seeing the Mercedes car manufacturer in its Formula 1 form under the set 42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance. The brick-built F1 car features a total of 1,642 pieces for a retail price of $219.99. That's 210 more pieces and $20 more than the McLaren F1 car with the official images indicating a more complete and detailed build, whilst also accommodating the aggressive aerodynamics of Mercedes in the 2023 season.
