Yet another Formula 1 LEGO set has been rumoured for a 2024 release, this time being from the LEGO Technic theme. The high-tech theme aimed for older children and adults has already had one Formula 1 based set released back in 2022. In particular, the LEGO Technic F1 based set was 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car which featured 2021's livery but with the brand new car model for the 2022 season.
But in 2024 we'll be seeing the Mercedes car manufacturer in its Formula 1 form under the set 42171 Mercedes Formula 1 Race Car. The brick-built F1 car will feature a total of 1,642 pieces for a retail price of $219.99. That's 210 more pieces and $20 more than the McLaren F1 car for the theme indicating a more complete and detailed build, whilst also accommodating the aggressive aerodynamics Mercedes used this season.
