LEGO and its videogame-inspired themes have continued to grow over the past few years with the introduction of Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog. But it doesn't stop there as LEGO will be further expanding its videogame-based sets with a brand new licensed theme coming on 1st March 2024. In particular, this brand new theme will be another Nintendo and LEGO tie of Animal Crossing LEGO sets.
That's right at least five LEGO Animal Crossing sets will be releasing next year making it the fourth LEGO videogame-inspired theme currently on shelves. The Animal Crossing franchise has continued to grow and grow over the past few years ever since the release of the highly successful New Horizons videogame on the Nintendo Switch. And LEGO has decided to tap into this popularity to make a full theme for the social simulation videogame.
The five LEGO Animal Crossing sets releasing on 1st March 2024 seem to spread across a range of prices but are still fairly accessible. The most expensive of these is 77050 which for only 535 pieces will retail for $74.99. Luckily the other four remaining sets have much better price-per-piece ratios such as 77046 with 170 pieces for $14.99 and 77049 with 389 pieces for $39.99.
Apart from these five sets ranging from 77046 to 77050 and their respective prices and pieces, not much more information is known about LEGOs newest theme. However, Brick Clicker is reporting that the theme, unlike LEGO Super Mario, will be fully Minifigure scale with characters having moulded heads to fit on classic Minifigure bodies. It'll be extremely interesting and exciting to see this and much more in LEGO form on 1st March 2024...
