With the official presentation of our first LEGO Ideas set of 2025 of 21354 Twilight The Cullen House, it's time to look at what's happening with the retirement of some of our beloved older sets from the adult-friendly 18+ theme.
We've got information covering all sets on the market for the LEGO Ideas theme, covering the years up to 2027. Remember that this information is likely to change as new sets hit shelves, like the rumoured eleven sets that will be released throughout the next 12 months, and sales continue to increase or decrease. However, we can say that most of the LEGO Ideas sets released in 2021 and 2022 will definitely have retired at the end of 2026 to make way for even more 18+ fan-made models.
A total of seven LEGO Ideas models will be leaving shelves at the end of this year with the oldest of these being 2022s 21335 Motorised Lighthouse. From one end of the spectrum to the other, both 21346 Family Tree and 21347 Red London Telephone Box will also be retiring in December, lasting just under two years. Meanwhile, 21323 Grand Piano continues for another year until December 2026 - six years after its initial release back in 2020!

While this list provides a rough outline of LEGO's retirement strategy for Ideas sets, always keep an out for changes and updates throughout the year. LEGO themselves will chop and change models in an extremely short period of time so our advice is to purchase a set whilst you can. But luckily plenty more sets will be coming throughout this year so be ready to splash the cash on even more 18+ LEGO sets and unique fan-created models.
